Considered the premier American art museum in the South, the GCMA is home to the world’s largest public collection of watercolors by iconic American artist Andrew Wyeth. The GCMA also has an impressive collection of paintings and prints by contemporary artist Jasper Johns. Ranging from Federal portraits to contemporary abstractions, the GCMA’s acclaimed Southern Collection invites viewers to survey American art history through works with ties to the South.
The Military History Center of the Carolinas (MHCC) evolved from a club formed in the mid 1990's. MHCC became a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a non-profit corporation in South Carolina in 2009.
The MHCC is dedicated to honoring veterans, preserving U.S. Military History and performing community service by collecting and restoring items to take to events in our local communities.
From 2009 through 2022, the MHCC displayed historical military items at over 200 events throughout the Upstate. Families and individuals; young, and not so young; male and female; about 50% veterans, and many others who have never served, help make up our diverse group. We invite you to become a part of our organization.

Roper Mountain Science Center is a tribute to those individuals who are committed to providing science education for all students, regardless of their intellectual or financial capabilities. As a model of collaboration between public education and the private sector, it shows other school districts how they can effectively use community support to reach their visions for the future and provide the best education for their students.
With two locations in Greenville and Spartanburg, South Carolina, TCMU is one of the largest children’s museums in the world and was the first children’s museum to be recognized as a Smithsonian Affiliate.
TCMU-Greenville houses more than 80,000 square feet dedicated to excellence in play-based learning for children ages 0-12, including 30 unique exhibits reflecting the areas of arts, science, health, transportation, the environment and more.
